Dearest Grandmother

I did this picture a while back for my book as part of the dedication page. This idea was suggested by my mom who said I should draw my abuela and me as part of the setting of the book, to which I happily agreed in doing so! 

Being mixed with Mayan and my abuela being full blooded Mayan, I felt this would be a nice dedication to her and our culture. The only thing that really bugs me most in the picture are the way the arm and hands look cause I seem to have trouble with them, but overall, I'm happy with this. She too was very happy with the outcome when I got the chance to show her (she cried and would not stop hugging me, though I didn't mind, I love my abuelita <3) 

So yeah, to keep my page updated while I finish up trades!
